Award of Merit
The Award of Merit is a printed award first announced in 1995 as a result of the introduction of the Marilyn Dahl Award of Merit. It recognizes hard of hearing members of CHHA who have made an outstanding contribution to the work of the association at the National, Chapter (provincial/territorial) or Branch level. Each Branch/Chapter can select and present one Award of Merit annually.
- Nominees must have a minimum of 5 years of membership as well as the appropriate Chapter or Branch Membership, or at least 5 years Executive and/or Chairperson experience at the National Level or in their Chapter/Branch
- Nominees must have contributed extraordinary or unique service to the hard of hearing community at the National, Chapter (provincial/territorial) or Branch level.
Nominations must include a brief, pertinent biographical sketch of the nominee and a complete description of the nominee's activity to be awarded. Recipients may only receive the Award of Merit one time.
